I’m two and a half weeks into my Boston experience, and I’m going to take a second to reflect.
Two and a half weeks into living in this tiny baby dorm. I have to move again on Thursday into my permanent dorm, which I am so excited for. It’s a marginally bigger but much nicer dorm and will give me a little bit of breathing room. Moving again is going to be a total pain (carting all my junk down three flights of stairs, across campus, then back up four flights in a few hours… sounds fun), but it’ll be worth it. Looking forward to really settling in.
Two and a half weeks into grad school. I had my first final this morning, and I have a final presentation in two days. It’s a lot, this program, but it’ll be good I think. It’s certainly keeping me busy. I’ll know more about how the work load is going to be once the regular semester starts next week. Keep posted.
Two and a half weeks in Boston. I really like Boston, there’s a ton to do and see and explore, I haven’t had that much opportunity to do it. I’m excited for fall, it’s going to be beautiful! I’m headed to Nantucket this weekend, so that’s not a bad side-effect of the location.
Two and a half weeks of all new people. I can’t say I’ve made any incredible friendships (yet), but I have met some people that I can see a potential friendship in. It’ll be really different once the business school semester starts, as everyone I’ve met so far has been only engineers (my people) but I’m hoping I’ll find more good ones! I know I will 🙂
