I’m trying to bring spring to Minneapolis by dressing the part… with some classic florals! No, this isn’t a super spring-y outfit but it’s a nice transitional outfit. With the warm spell on the east coast this week, I was getting kind of jealous, even if I had to hide in the skyways to get these photos 😉
This is another layering outfit, where I’m using some pieces that were already in my wardrobe to create new looks. The floral “skirt” is actually a dress I received from Birdie & Viv in the fall – I love the midi length and it’s a really nice warm fabric. I’ve worn it with tights throughout the winter, and am looking forward to restyling it for the spring!
On top of this long sleeve dress, I’ve knotted a simple long sleeve olive shirt. The dress has some olive green in the floral, so this color pairs nicely without being too matchy. I knotted this shirt over to bring some shape back, similar to how I did in this previous post. I like this technique to reuse items in my closet without having to buy new!
As far as accessories go, I kept it pretty simple. I’m wearing my favorite nude flats that I wear constantly (and are currently on sale) and simple pearl earrings. This outfit could go to the office or just be worn casually as well. What item in your closet gets reused throughout the seasons?
