One week to Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday because a) food, obviously, but b) family time! My extended family all gets together at my parents house and we always have such a wonderful time. With my recent move and tons of travel, I haven’t been able to see my extended family in a while, and I CAN’T WAIT! Also looking forward to the best pumpkin cookies ever…
The outfit I’m talking about today is a wintery corporate look. It’s perfect for travelling, as it doesn’t wrinkle and it’s super cozy, but also looks put together when you get into the office. It’s also perfect for when you’re feeling a little under weather (i.e. me this week) but still have to go to work. Airplanes when your sick are the worst, but being in an oversized sweater helps. I have also worn this sweater similarly with jeans or leggings for a more casual look (see below!)
I am wearing a grey oversized knit sweater with a turtleneck. This sweater can kind of swallow you up whole if you don’t put something over it – a scarf, necklace, something with a pop of color. My “pop” is this pretty maroon scarf. I got it while I was on Chile on vacation last Spring, it’s actually made out of alpaca hair 🙂
To make this more business appropriate, I’m wearing it with navy dress pants, just my standard Ann Taylor fare. This simple grey sweater can also be paired with black or even a charcoal pant as well. For accessories, I’m wearing a pair of nude pointed flats and a cheetah print clutch. I like how the cheetah gives some fun pattern and color to this outfit and really ties it together. I’m loving this outfit when I need a little bit of snuggle in my daily work wear routine. What’s your go to comfy item?
